Dog Sitter Story

It can be hard to leave a pet with someone while you go on vacation. The stress of having another person responsible for your cat or dog can be overwhelming. One man who was asked to be a dog sitter made a fun video for the dog’s owners so they wouldn’t worry. It’s one of the cutest videos you will see this week.

James Liakos was asked to dog-sit for an adorable Whippet named Skylar. He could sense Skylar was apprehensive about her family leaving, and he knew the dog’s owners were a bit worried as well.

James got to work on a full schedule of fun activities to do with the dog and then made a video to document their adventures.

In the video, James says it was instant love. With a high pitched voice, James greets Skylar at her home and opens the dog gate. Skylar runs around the house, enthusiastically. Then, James and Skylar’s adventure begins.

Fun Activities

The first activity James has on the schedule is exercising together. James approaches Skylar with an exercise ball and rope and asks if she’s ready.

The next thing we see in the video is James and Skylar running around the yard together. Set to magical music, the two dart around and play frisbee. The Whippet is an excellent frisbee catcher! After a rigorous game of frisbee, James and Skylar are exhausted. Skylar takes a break on her dog bed, and then the most tenderhearted part of the video happens.

James is shown giving Skylar loving pats, hugs, and kisses. At one point, the Whippet is cradled in James’ arms while he sings to her. Too adorable!

James has a hilarious sense of humor, too. During the “sadness” part of the video, James films a sequence that feels like a soap opera. He asks Skylar what’s wrong, and then the camera shows a worried Skylar staring into the lens. James begs her not to start crying on him.

Once the Whippet recovers from her “sadness,” James and Skylar are off for an adventure. They go for a long walk and then have a dance in the living room. There are many more comical moments in James and Skylar’s video. Check it out here:
