Everybody knows Mike Tyson as the boxing legend. Recently, he reminded everyone why he became a superstar in his field as he showcased his skills. However, instead of having a human opponent, Mike was up against his four-legged friend.

Mike went on a quick sparring session with his beloved dog. The furry opponent was named Mars Tyson, who showed his dad that he was up for the challenge. Luckily, the match was recorded on video, and Mike shared it with his Instagram followers. Well, actually, it wasn’t posted on Mike’s account.

I went easy on him…

A post shared by Mars Tyson (@marstysonthedog) on Mar 17, 2020 at 7:00pm PDT

The clip was shared on Mars’ social media page. But, of course, the adorable dog lacked the thumbs that would allow him to upload it himself. Still, he made a hilarious caption saying, “I went easy on him…” Mike was seen bouncing around at a frightening speed and pulled out his signature “peek-a-boo” technique.

The fans quickly pointed out how Mars scurried away from his dad, who was a former undisputed heavyweight world champion. They sympathized with the dog, and, with Mike’s speed and killer move, the commenters understood why Mars decided to opt-out of their playful fight. It was a smart decision.

Last year, the 53-year-old boxing champ showed off his skills again. BT Sport posted on Twitter the clip of Mike sharing his technique. Although he has retired from the sport for many years, he still hasn’t lost the movement and agility that he had in his youth.

Many people commended Mike for “not losing his touch.” Someone even said that he feels like he got knocked out just by watching the clip. Another commenter noted that with his powerful punches, he could still defeat some of today’s heavyweights. Mike is indeed one of the greatest boxers ever. So, Mars backing out of the sparring session was indeed a wise move.
